Valencia is located in the middle of Europe's most densely developed agricultural region. Mahon was finally ceded to Spain by the Treaty of Amiens in 1802.

Propriano is a commune in the Corse-du-Sud department of France on the island of Corsica. It is situated on the Valinco Gulf.

Just 55 miles north of Split is the city of Sibenik, situated where the River Krka meets the Adriatic.
