Australasia Cruises

Our choice of Australasia cruises show this region of the world at its best and includes the rugged yet picturesque islands of New Zealand, vast and diverse Australia, tropical Indonesia and the beaches and coral reefs of Papua New Guinea. Most Australasia cruises are part of a larger World Cruise itinerary, however, there are now a growing number of ships based in either Sydney or Auckland for a season of voyages.

When to Visit?

Most cruises to Australasia take place between October and March (when it is summer in the south) and cruise visits are often part of world cruise itineraries. It tends to be warm to very hot, depending on latitude. Some cruises are now on offer year-round - ask for details.

Australia North and East

Beginning or finishing in Hong Kong or Singapore, cruises to the north of Australia will often first visit Bali and the unspoilt rainforests of Papua New Guinea, before heading to Darwin and around Cape York to Australia's west coast where Cairns and the legendary Great Barrier Reef await; it is possible to spend a day or longer to discover the reef and its islands. Southwards you will find Brisbane and the stunning Gold Coast. Sydney is a classic end or starting point to your voyage with one of the most iconic entrances as you pass through the Heads into the harbour, overlooked by Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge.

New Zealand

A cruise to New Zealand is the opportunity to visit the contrasting North and South Islands. Discover the Bay of Islands, Tauranga, Wellington, Christchurch and Milford Sound, the crown jewel of the Fjordland National Park. Auckland, New Zealand's capital offers a cosmopolitan stop off, complete with a rich history and diverse culture.

Australia South

Set sail from Melbourn across the Great Australian Bight to Adelaide, a city renowned for its churches and Perth, Western Australia's capital. Head up the east coast, past beaches and reefs to Darwin to complete your journey.
