The coast of Western Europe, all the way to the Mediterranean is dotted with historic cities, glamorous resorts and idyllic islands. Cruise ships which sail northern waters during the summer months will reposition to the Mediterranean for autumn and winter, cruising along the coast, through the straits of Gibraltar and into the Med. Or for something a bit different, how about a European river cruise along some of the most beautiful rivers in Europe.
When to Visit?
Cruises to Western Europe head north in April and May and south in August and September. The weather is generally warmer as you travel south, though it does depend on season.
