Experience the untamed beauty and warm hospitality of eastern Canada at a quieter time of year, with opportunities to spot whales and icebergs as you sail. Discover Newfoundland’s rugged coastline and the dramatic scenery of the Gaspé Peninsula before exploring Old Québec, where UNESCO-listed streets reveal centuries of history beneath the iconic Fairmont Le Château Frontenac. Later, return to Newfoundland to visit L'Anse aux Meadows, where you can walk in the footsteps of Norse explorers at this remarkable UNESCO World Heritage Site and uncover the Olsen family’s own links to its story. Throughout, Canada’s rich local culture shines through folk music, fiddles and sea shanties, alongside regional favourites such as poutine.
Italian Riviera & Amalfi Coast
Unpack once and explore some of Europe’s most celebrated coastal regions. Sailing at a quieter time of year, Borealis takes you past the colourful cliffside towns of the Amalfi Coast and offers opportunities to visit picturesque Cinque Terre, where distinctive villages cling to the rugged coastline. Elsewhere, destinations rich in culture bring the chance to see Florence’s Duomo or Pisa’s Leaning Tower from La Spezia, and Rome’s ancient landmarks, including the Colosseum, from Civitavecchia.
