Celebrity Apex is beautifully designed and has a natural flow, nothing seems too far or too close that it causes bottlenecks. And even with a full ship, we never had an issue finding a seat or space in the bars, buffet or communal areas. I wasn’t brave enough to brace the outside much (windy Atlantic), but I have it on good authority, the space and ease also carried on there.

Entertainment is a massive part of my cruise holidays, and I was certainly not disappointed with quality or choice. In my short time on board, I managed 3 guest entertainers shows (I saw 2 of them twice) and 2 Celebrity productions – all of which were outstanding. Some of these performances were literally standing room only, so I highly recommend getting there early at peak times, and if you see a queue, just join it. Believe it or not I also attended a lecture, tried a couple of quizzes and even joined the choir!

You would think with all of that going on, I wouldn’t have time to eat or drink. On the contrary, I had a wonderful evening meal in Tuscan and the choice and quality in the buffet never disappointed. My favourite spot (everyone's favourite spot actually), had to be the Martini Bar which truly is the heart of the ship. The only thing I enjoyed more than the pistachio lates in the Cafe Al Bacio, was the lavender lemon drop Martini’s there. All of which were included in my premium drinks package (totally worth upgrading)
