Norwegian Spirit has two indoor boulevards and a six deck high atrium. It features a mixture of western and oriental décor and offers a wide range of facilities and dining options - at extra cost. In 2008 the ship obtained a new engine and cabin updates.  Norwegian Spirit passengers tend to be Mixed ages and International. When all cabins have double occupancy, the ship provides a space ratio of 38.6 tons per passenger and a crew to passenger ratio of one for every 2.1 passengers. At full capacity the space ratio is 37.6 tons per passenger and the crew ratio is one to 2.1 passengers.

Standard cabins are small although well equipped with safe, and have limited storage space. 60% of cabins have outside views. Showers are reasonably sized. Suites have a wet bar, fridge, sofa, drinks table and queen size bed.

Casual and comfortable during the day. In the evening dress is smart casual (shirt and trousers for gentlemen and casual elegance for ladies). The optional formal evenings require a suit or dinner jacket for men and a cocktail dress for ladies.
$13 per passenger per day is added to your on board bill and 15% to all drinks. An extra charge is made for dining in selected onboard restaurants.
